Beach Love Jewelry is a small, local business geared towards sustainability and giving back to other small, local businesses, our community, and our 'aina (earth). Melissa’s Story…
A cache of pearls was gifted to her by her hanai (adopted) Tahitian family. Sea glass was collected from beaches as her babies played on Oahu’s North Shore. These were some of the original muses for Kawela Kai jewelry, Beach Love’s forerunner.
As her three keiki grew, creating jewelry for 'ohana & friends was a passion and hobby. Through the years she continued honing her skills, collecting shells and stones from distant places, and delighting loved ones with her gifts from the sea. Encouragement abounded, inquiries for her work followed, and time became more available. The hua momi (seed pearl) was planted, and Beach Love Jewelry was born.
